A bit of a broadcast to see what the response is like.
My catchcry for 2008 is 'More Speed'. I have set some ambitious goals that I will need tome regular, structured speedwork to accomplish.

I reckon this sort of thing is easier in a group, so I want to know if there are any groups that meet regularly for speedwork, intervals, etc in the St. George/Sutherland area.
Anyone?

I don't know of any but would be interested in any in the St George area. There are often people at Olds Park Peakhurst obviously doing a speed session, but usually as individuals or group of just 2 or 3.

Olds Park is a short warmup away from my place. Might be worth criusing past to see what is happening. Any idea when they are there?

Oh gosh sorry, I couldn't give a definitive day or time. I sometimes jog there from work and do a few laps and jog back to work and have seen the odd guy at lunchtime doing sprints. But mostly it would be afternoons after 4.30pm. Then again, in the winter you have to make allowances for footy training if you want to use the oval for reps, but I think they start a bit later around 6pm. Geez I am being really specific.

I like the park though as the outside bike path is 1.2kms around so you can do a comfortale car free run or use it for speed work.
