Hi all,

I know a few runners ride as well - and it seems more are.

Is anyone considering having a go at the Tour de Hills on the 2 March? - the week before 6 Foot Track.

Quote

Starting 7.30am (100km), 8.00am (70km), 9am (35km) and 9:30am (20km) on Sunday 2nd March at Dural Country Club, 662a Old Northern Road Dural, entrants will have the choice of four routes to ride. The 100km, 70km and 35km routes take a scenic and challenging ride through the Hills District. The 20km route is more suited to families and less experienced riders looking for a pleasant ride through the local rural countryside. All courses finish at the Dural Country Club where a lunch and drink will be provided free of charge to all entrants.

Full entry brochure with map - HERE.

cheers Plu

That looks like a decent ride, may consider doing it.

Did this event a few times but won't be back this year due to my bad experience last year with the organisation of the race. My pre-entry went MIA which meant I had to pay the on-the-day entry price. Didn't see any marshals in Cattai Ridge Road which is about a third of the course. The lunch had no food left by the time the 100k finishers came in. I found that you'll need a light road bike for this one as it has some steep hills (8%+ gradient) not really suited for heavy mountain bikes. I'll be save the legs for the Loop the Lake Macquarie ride on 9 March as it is a more scenic ride.
