Anyone have any advice for where to park? I don't mind paying, or walking a bit - not too far tho! I don't reckon I'll go under 2:15 so a street park may not be an option.

Some of the street parking doesn't apply on a Sunday so you could be lucky.  Not sure how you check which streets though.

So many choices.

Meter parking is all around area. Even for a (current) slow person as myself I was back before max time expired.

Then you have parking stations, some have Sunday specials.

Other option is public transport. However keep in mind track work for Cityrail services Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May (weekend)
Western Line
Buses replace trains between Penrith and Blacktown.
Blue Mountains Line
Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Blacktown.

I'm from Newcastle and don't know that part of the city too well, so some more specific pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Olmy if you have to drive and find a parking spot then I'd be looking to park in Woollomooloo. Whilst there are many spots reserved for residents only (you need a sticker) there are still lots of little places to get a park especially at that time of the morning.

Here, I even drew you a map. :)

EDIT: If you prefer a parking station then call Domain Parking or Cook + Phillip Pool and see what time they are opening.

I'm sure Domain Parking doesn't open until 10.00am on Sunday.

Hi Olmy

Even if u have to park some distance from the start you can use the 'fast' walk as a bit of a warm up and after the race u may have to catch a taxi back :)

Does anybody know if any CR's on this site are catching up for coffee/chat after the race? Where are they meeting? If not, is anyone interested in meeting after the race to discuss how u went etc?

Never give in....

There are a couple of Wilson parking that are open in the morning. Have preiously searched for them a couple of days before. Some offer Sunday special. If you cant find them on on-net, just drive a bit early and follow the crowd several hundreds park. I think it is about $10.

I used one of these parks last year.  It was very convenient.

I always park at Waverton Station (a couple of stops north of the harbour bridge) a catch the train over. Parking is free and the train is only a few $.

Which Wilson's stations have you used previously? Are they in the City or over closer the Domain/Wollomoloo?

Don't forget the new start location this year. So if you are catching the train you need to get off at St James or Museum. The start area is near the start for the City To Surf.

There's a wilson parking at the corner of goulburn and castlereagh st that is $10 all day. Check the other ones here.

Go to the Enacom Carpark close to the Start.   It will cost you $10 -.   Race will certainly be interesting - I haven't run over 14k since the C2S in 07.   This is gunna hurt - look for me around 83mins.

Also be aware that college street close at 5am. You will have to go down park street and turn left into Riley or Crown street and come up that way.

Have Fun!!!!!
