Hi all,  I have seen an explanation in one of the threads........but can't find it now....and I obviously didn't get it when I read it before in any case.

Could someone who knows....give me the 'Dummies' version of how to do multiple quotes in a reply?
Does it have something to do with the quote tab at the bottom of each post?  (when I click on it, it just turns orange with a '-' sign).

Much appreciated

Well Done!

You can also edit the quote to bring attention to a particular point in the quoted post.

And you can also bring in quotes from other threads by selecting the quote button on them too before you reply:

It is good quote etiquette to cut out long sections of quotes too, or use bold within the quote to highlight bits you are replying too.

or .......

Seriously.  I don't think there would be anything hotter, and I like hot.
db.

And if you want to just put something in quotes like an external cut & paste just type the following, but remove the space before the word "quote"

[ quote=who or what you are quoting] your quote text here [/ quote]
Which will look like this with the spaces removed:

who or what you are quoting said:

your quote text here

Edit: Or you can use the little "wrap in quote tags" icon after selecting text - 2nd icon on the RHS which I just found in the editor

Lastly, only 3 quotes per post allowed on CR. Edit: Now 5 thanks to KT !

Glad it helped Loubee - I thought I was the only one who couldn't work it out.

That's what I love about this site so much - post a question, no matter how simple and within minutes/hours there are helpful replies.  Thanks to all the CR's that keep the site going!   :cray:
