Note: This is in Adelaide SA, sorry I forgot to include in the title

I have just registered for this free workshop on how to cycle in the city...I am completley new at cycling (I haven't ridden a bike in years) and road rules so this will be good overall for me. They mentioned that there are still spots free if anyone else is interested on attending this Saturday. Also if you don't have a bike they seem to have a few bikes and helmets that people can lend.

You need to register on this site http://www.bikesa.as....php?section=80

I have just copied the info about the workshop from the website. I actually have the course outline just PM me if you would like a copy...

No I don't sorry, maybe one a month or every 2 months...If you send them through an email I am sure they will be able to answer for you. They seem very friendly!

I forgot to update this, but last Saturday I went to the course and just wanted to provide a report to any Adelaide CR's thinking about this course.

I thouroughly enjoyed this course and found it a huge benefit. Before the course I knew hot to hop on the bike and pedal and that was about it. After the course I now know the rules of riding on the road, how to take the wheels off, repairing punctures, replacing tubes, pulling out the brake lines etc and feel so much more confident in riding now I know how mybike works. It doesn't mean I won't struggle the first time I try, but at least I have the basics behind it.

I found the small group very friendly and the instructor was more then happy to answer any of the silly and basic questions that I had.

If you know nothing about bikes and want to ride to work or even just want to know more about bikes this would be a great course and it is free.

They also have other courses that have a charge that I am considering the main one is a bike maintenace course that they run. Check out there website... http://www.bikesa.asn.au/

By the way I don't work for them or anyway associated with Bike SA, but I have always had a fear of riding by myself as I never knew what to do if something happened like a puncture...Now I feel better equipped and have overcome another fear...

I look forward to riding to work hopefully one day this week...
