Asics Gt1130's Vs Gt2130's

I am now in the market for some new runners....only because I have clocked up over 1200K's in my current ones and think I am well overdue for a new pair.
My issue is rather silly.....I like the colour scheme on the 2130 better than the 1130. Will the 2130's be the same for me? Does anybody know the difference? I will definitely stick with the 1130's if there is any real difference in the composition of the shoe.

Only time will tell if they are as good as the 2110...

I wear the GT 2130 and love them (same wide foot problem) used to be a Kayano runner but found that the 2130 were better for me and as an added bonus they're cheaper.
Why don't you go to a store and try the 2130 and see how they feel you'll never know until you try them.

I have bought all shoes (except the first pair) from the US. I love em and have never had an issue.
Have a look on the Asics website and that will tell you the difference between the 1130 and 2130 - really it comes down to the technology and cushioning in the shoes.
Depending on your weekly mileage, you might be better in the 2130. Also isnt 1200 odd kms a lot to run in 1 pair??
Mine seem to go "flat" well before this - and it leaves you more likely to get an injury.

In terms of feeling flat, I never go past 800k and sometimes not even that as I walk in them a lot. You don't realise how 'flat' they are until you go from wearing a new pair to the old pair. I am going to keep erring on the side of extra support for now.
In Australia I get them for $170ish, but in the US I got a new model for $95. Roll on November when we'll be back in the states and the dollar is even better than last year!

I think I will give the 2130's a go.
Yes....1200K's is a lot of mileage for one pair of shoes but I get very "attached" to my runners as I have had some bad experiences with incorrect footwear. They are probably very flat by now....

I note it has the older ASICS Speva material rather than the Solyte midsole.

Yes. On first wearing of the 11's I was wondering why I was paying so much more for the 21's. After about 100kms in them I realised why.
The cushioning pales in comparison.
I'm heavier than than the average runner and need all the cushioning I can get. The 11's might be great for light runners.

Just an aside... if you are happy with 2120's you can still buy them ex usa on a .com site (that is named after a very large south american river) search for asics then sort which ones - some suppliers ship o/s. I recently landed a pair for $115 (incl postage etc) which beats the $189 I would have paid locally for the 2130
