Hello, I am very keen in getting a pair of Asics Noosa Tri 2; am trying to find the cheapest price possible I don't care if I have to buy online for a cheaper pair but can't seem to find any descent websites. I know the recommended retail price is around $200; am looking for a lot cheaper. Also, if you have had/have these shoes what are the quality and feeling of them (I will be using them for distances 1500m to 1000m) and if their is a better running shoe for the distances I have mentioned.

HMs. Just a couple of things before buying on line. Check that you have the size right. Whilst I haven't personally worn them they are a racing flat so tend to be a smaller fit than a regular running (training) shoe. Secondly, for a cheaper price, check out the expos at some of the bigger run or triathlon events. Occasionally ASICS will sell off old models at a cheaper price at these events. Size ranges might be limited but you may be lucky enough to score a bargain.
If you are having trouble locating a Noosa Tri maybe try for a DS Racer or DS Trainer. These are relatively similar shoes (check out the shoe specifications at www.asics.com.au).
The shoes should be fine for the distances you mentioned but I wouldn't rely on them as your only pair of shoes. They are, after all, a racing flat so are good for fast paced racing. For day to day road training you might want to consider a shoe with a bit more cushioning and stability relative to your needs. I won't recomend a shoe or a brand as what shoe is best for one may be totally different for another.
