I suspect that would be the 1130s, else it is a VERY good buy - sale price for 2130s is generally about $160.

Previously I've found you can get ASICs a bit cheaper if you get last years model when the new model comes out.

Anyone know when that is ?

$139 sounds ok though ...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Asics usually bring out two versions (colours) of the 21xx every year in Australia. One version in January and then another mid year. The sell off of the 2130's at the moment would be to make way for the 2140 due out soon.

I just picked up a pair of 2130s at Active Stride at Southbank today.
Cost me $160.
Could have had 1130s for $100.
Sales guy was quality. Honest about the state of my current DS Trainers (A bit worn, but overall still usable).
Was honest about the 2130 being marked down due to 2140 coming soon.
Got me to try the new DS, the 1130 and the 2130 and didn't pressure me in any direction.

Hi All, long time (forum) lurker, first time poster ;)
I've just purchased through Amazon a pair of Asics 2130's ($163 AUD) incl delivery ex USA. ouch I think I paid a little bit too much... That aside, I'm now worried I bought the wrong style. I've always run in Asics Nimbus, but my podiatrist said I should switch to the 2130s as I'm a mild pronator (that's when the foot/feet) tilt ever so slightly inwards, right? If that is (a) the right term for my running style, then can fellow posters confirm that the Asics 2130 is the right shoe for me?

Hi KikiK,
Welcome to (posting) on CR!!

Yes pronating is when your feet roll inwards. I have the same issue and I run in the Asics 2120's, 2130's and 2140's (basically the same shoe just newer or older releases). I love these shoes and find them very comfortable. I have tried other shoes, to no avail. Shoes are such a personal thing though so everybody likes different brands and models.

Unfortunately, I have a bigger issue than pronation, which has just come to the surface, so I now have orthotics as well.
