Can triathletes run fast? kb This post has been edited by kb: Jan 21 2009, 11:22 AM -------------------- I always start these events with very lofty goals, like I'm going to do something special. Another thing - pariticipants will be asked for a gold coin donation which will go to our charity the Lynne King Cancer Care Foundation.

Looking forward to meeting more CRs for this summer series, the winter series was well supported by CRs so please feel more than welcome.
Miss Z and tall geoff we are expecting your attendance again. Same for Action et al. Action, we will be using your 5k markings although the 7kers will be a straight lap of the bay. Shot'is |

I will be down there for the run although I may to stop off for a few beers along the way just to get myself around.
The body has a few niggling injuries but I have been a bad boy over the holiday season by eating and drinking too much and nowhere near enough exercise. Shot'is may even turn up for a roll around Homebush on Thursday morning, unless I head out for a ride tonight. ninja -------------------- 2009 Goals

Miss Z and tall geoff we are expecting your attendance again. Same for Action et al. Bugger, I can't make it tonight. But I will definitely try to get there for the other 3 races, I really enjoyed it last year. Strangely enough I have run the Bay a thousand times but never done it as a time trial, so that will be interesting. -------------------- What the mind believes, the body achieves.

Last night it was great to see everyone who turned up for the 7k Bolt. I really wanted to run but coach wouldn't let me this time - he said something about recovery time (huh!?) It didn't matter - I was happy to 'help' the time keepers.
Anyway well done guys, there were some fast times set, congratulations to the prize winners and thanks Running Science for said prizes. The 'watches off' race method is a really great way for people of all speeds and abilities to race together knowing that the slowest runner can win if they guess the closest to their actual finishing time. It is all about knowing your pace sans HRM/watch - and I could do with improving that. Look forward to the next one on Feb 12! (5k) Winky |

Shot'is Sorry that I missed this as I would have joined you especially since I was going around anyway. Wow, it was a hot one last night. I certainly wasn't setting any records. We had dinner at Miss Z and have plotted our return. See you in Canberra? No go for Canberra Geoff. Bolt household is now in Long Course lock down and in middle of serious training block for IMOZ and Huski. How did everybody go down there?
