Just a quick talk up for Injinji.

I jumped on their site yesterday to get a couple of pairs of socks. Also ended up getting a pair of shorties to go with my order.

Anyhoo, I placed my order yesterday afternoon and my socks and shorties were delivered today.

Great effort guys!!

;)

edit: Got on there from the Aussie Alpine guys' site and got my 10% discount to boot! Very happy.

I have bought 2 running skirts and 2 SPI belts from them all separately.
The service/delivery is always very prompt. Also if you need to make an enquiry about something they reply to your email very quickly. I got a running skirt just around Xmas and it came wrapped in Xmas paper,a nice touch.
I got a pair of socks for Xmas too as I had put them on my wishlist.

Keep up the great work Paul and Narelle ;)

Thanks Trick. For those that don't venture into the ultra threads the offer Trick is referring to is related to Injinji helping to sponsor our run on the AAWT. As part of the deal they are offering discounts to people quoting our run:
"Type 'Injinji Alpine Ultra' in the promotional code to receive 10% off, with an additional 10% being donated to our charity."

Declaration of interest: We don't benefit further than the fixed sponsorship they have provided but you can get discount on great gear and there is flow-on benefit to our designated charity Australian Wildlife Conservancy.

I bought a couple of SpiBelts and a T2 triathlon backpack from the Injinji guys at the GCM Expo last year. Not only were they extremely helpful and kind, they gave me a meaningful discount as well.

The backpack is one of the best things I have ever bought.

I have no hesitation in recommending their gear.

These guys rock!

Not only do they have fantastic products, their service is unbelievable.

I recently bought some socks and a pair of Five Fingers from their site. (Note to CR - you get a free pair of Injinji's with your Five's which I though was good value). Anyway, turns out I ordered the wrong size in the fives, they were a little small. I rang them up and they actually came into town personally to exchange them for me. They had other meetings in town of course but even so, much appreciated.

Awesome, thanks again guys.

Anyone got any opinions on the socks/injinji shoes? How are they to run in - and do they feel okay? I can try them in a store - but can't see them being too comfortable after hours running...

Any comments from experienced users?

Thanks.

Hi Kolya,

I'm not an ultra runner but I know most of the field who compete in Badwater in the US wear Injinji and I have a few mates who have done the Marathon De Sables Desert Race and they couldn't believe how many of the competitors in that race wore them as well.

As I said, I'm not an ultra runner myself but I find them to be the most comfortable sock on the market. Obviously they feel a bit funky the first time you wear them but after 5 or 10 minutes it feels like you have nothing on your feet.

Kolya, I wear them in all my races from 3km up to 50km and have never found them uncomfortable.

I wear the toe socks in all my training and racing and find them very comfortable. No blisters or rubbing either, like I sometimes used to get with other socks.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'll have to just jump in and try them out!

Cheers!

Is it the "performance" or the "outdoor" that people seem to go for?... they're mainly going to be used for maras and ultras...

EDIT:
Don't worry - have now answered this by looking a bit further into the website...

Just to let people know I bought some injinji's for $27 reduced from $30 at following website

http://www.australianoutbackmarathon.com/i...0&Itemid=57

Although still quite expensive, postage is free and delivered next day. If anyone knows anywhere cheaper let me know. Love these socks for long runs.

EDIT: code is AOM

I bought a pair of Injinji compression socks. I have had a lot of issues with calves and these socks are great comfy to run in and no major soreness in my calves after runs.

Injinjis are the best. I can't wear my five fingers without them. Wore them on the six foot marathon - they got drenched early on as I waded through the river (and subsequent streams) but amazingly they never once felt squelchy and in fact became like a second skin. 45ks later not a blister to speak of. Love 'em!

I'm in the US at the moment too. Had a small shopping spree in San Francisco last week. Micro Injinjis $10. Mini crew and crew length $12. Regular running shoes that are $260 in Rebel for $125.

Drop me a PM if you want some Injinjis Chilli.

Which parts are you visiting McKnickers?

I'm in Danville - which is just outside San Fran...visited a store in Concord called roadrunners sports...you can order online I believe...they made me a VIP giving an additional 10% discount for $1.99....was a no brainer....I spent $250 and probably got about $500 worth of products....
