Hi all
Went to t he physio last week and have been diagnosed with a hyper extending knee??? This apparently is the result of a tibia stress fracture
Has anyone out there heard of this injury and can give me some hints and tips – thanks all

Commiserations. Whilst I have not had this exactly I have strained my popliteus - both legs and it is similar to hyper extending the knee. Physio advice is that it's not a running injury - more a team sport injury or a walking injury as runners do not push off from a straight leg - we always have our legs bent. Even though it was inflamed and very sore, if I warmed up slowly, I could run medium distance and recover fine.
Just need to ice and rest - not too much walking. Although, you may also have a problem with joint stability which I did not.
best of luck
