Just thought it best to remind anyone who isn't heading down to Huskisson about the 2nd-best little triathlon in NSW. The Trial Bay Triathlon weekend is on the 21st and 22nd February.

Senior race on Sunday features a 500m swim - 26km bike - 6km run. Kids races are held on the Saturday afternoon prior, making for a fantastic weekend away. Great prizes and give-aways at one of the most scenic locations on the east coast of Aus

Miners, are you sure you don't work for the Port Mac Tourist Board on the quiet?

A picture very similar to that enticed me up that way for the Macleay River half last year... I'm sure this photograph will have the same effect on others. Hope you're on commission!

and for entirely egotistical reasons (which accounts for 90% of my posts), here's me leading Kate Major out onto the run leg at this event. She's a good kid. Will do alright

I like those pictures Miners. I'd love to live in a place where that was the view out of my window each morning. And no, I am not talking about the shot of you in your tights ;)

Yep, it would be a beautiful place for a tri. Was up there at Xmas and loved it.

Regarding Kate Major, I'm sure she slapped on the bum as she cruised past you... ;)

if you look at Kate closely, you'll notice she's readjusting her shorts after I just did the same to her ;)

bumpity

Was just up at Trial Bay on Sunday and met up with a training group from Port who were going through a course prep.

Actually didn't do any training at all while I was up there. Simply spent the entire day in the water pushing the kids on to these endless waves rolling into the bay.

Taking on my role as newly appointed SWR tourism promoter, it looked much like this googled photo above, if you can just imagine little 1 foot waves curling along the beach which start another 500m away back to the right. See the wave refraction below - perfect learn to surf conditions for anyone still thinking about coming up for the 22nd Feb, or for the Macleay Marathon on June long weekend ;)

Nice bump, mate.

Sadly, I can't do this race this year, as my bike will be in a box in preparation for flying off to another little challenge I have lined up ...

I can vouch for the beauty of the location, and the professionalism of the organisation - AND you get a race t-shirt (could always do with another race t-shirt).

A unique race in a stunning location.

Whaddya mean 2nd best little triathlon in NSW???!!! ;)

Other than for a rolled ankle from playing mixed netball last night, all is set for my tilt at the 3rd best (or was it 4th best) race on the coast this Sunday!

So in the final wash-up of the Huskisson sell-out, the NSW floods, the Zimbabwean change of government and global economic crisis, is there anyone joining me?

Aaaah - not me, sorry!

But good luck and fast feet Miners.

We fly to NZ on Monday week, and I will try and post from there if I find a chance.

Enjoy!

I don't think Miners is allowed to write those words on CR, Will.
