Have decided I need some gaiters before 6ft, and really like the look of the Dirty Girl range, but I'm worried that I may have left it a little too late to order from the US (their website quotes 10 days delivery in US, so I'm thinking I should add at least another week or two for shipping OS).

Does anyone know if there's a stockist/distributor of Dirty Girls in Sydney or anywhere else in Aust, or a seller of a similar style of gaiter?

I don't know of a stockist in Sydney for the dirty girl gators but I ordered some recently from the US site and I reckon I got them in about a week - it was heaps fast. I reckon you'd get them before six foot no worries.

Carmen - about a week sounds good to me! I'll order tonight.

Tim - "who wears Gaiters at Six Foot?" After Sunday's MM I will be! I'd show you pics of my blistered and shredded feet except it's lunchtime and some people are eating - even I don't want to look at them.

Ok I've missed something.

I used to wear gaiter/gators... when I was a raver... I had several pairs all made out of different coloured fake fur! Actually I still have them, I just don't wear them but then again I ceased to be a raver circa 2002 or thereabouts!

I didnt realise these were running attire - can someone post a link!?

Raving...trail running...it's all about endurance! And not getting shit in your shoes, which apparently can happen at raves

Oh spud has put links, good one.

sorry I did not think feet could blister on a short run.

so you think it was from getting stuff in your shoes?

ok.

The lady at Dirty Girl shares her profits with charities that include rape victim support and trail care. She also puts a bit into various trail races over there.

Do a group buy (I think she charged me NO POSTAGE to Australia, so save her some money if you can) and help to spread some love to a couple of worthwhile causes.

Ohhhh now I want some - should know better than to open gear links on this site.

Look so much better than a shoe full of dirt.... The Paypal pymt site is telling me it is US$16 for postage to Aust - anyone want to add an extra pair to their order? ;)

We have a local supplier here in Melbourne who is an ultra runner herself
Her brand name is Rocbloc - dont think you can google them yet?
The full release will be available very soon via some outlets but you can get them via me if you really want some soon
They are similar in price if not cheaper then dirty girl
She has targeted a few darker colours and personally I like the black ones,
If anyone is interested PM me and I will forward details. I received mine overnight,
see photo of recent Bogong to Hotham event and the work the gaitors / RocBloc's Did for me, worn over my 2XU compression tights
After 64Kms of dirty gritty rocky trails, didnt need to remove shoes and not a stone in sight, very effective

Well here are a few colours to choose, from our very own ultra runner Cathy, Cathy has spent many an hour on trails and sandy tracks and whilst recovering from an inujury has put her hands to work and created a very effective Gaitor RocBloc.
Give Cathy a Call on 0405427012 and chack out the designs in the attached picture, definetly a nice pink one for 6ft track to match the skirts.
