I didn't really know where to post this then thought, "what the hell, I only want to skite anyway."
I gave blood again for the first time in 5 years yesterday. The significance of the milestone is that it means I've been cancer-free for 5 years woohoo!!! I had surgery for prostate cancer in 2004 and since then I've...started running, lost >10 kg, run 6+ half marathons, one marathon (Gold Coast 2007), numerous other fun runs and included running in my life.
Life's good.

Hahaha, I didn't know that definition. Maybe it's a good idea, but then again, running in the morning. Oh well, that's the price we pay

But what you've done is celebrate and grab hold of life when you could have just withered away and died. Pretty blunt, but that's how it is. And having known both cancer survivors and those who haven't been able to defeat it adopting a positive attitude and then succeeeding beyond what most would expect isn't easy.
So very well done to you and keep it up.
