I just bought a new pair of running shoes at the Rebel sport online store.I wear Brooks glycerin 6 and they retail in the shop for$240 and online they were $150. I received them in 4 days. That's quite a saving. It's a good option for buying if you know exactly what you want, if I didn't know exact size/model I wouldn't recommend to do it.
Check it out especially if there is a newer model of your shoe coming out(in my case the glycerin7 is just out).

Mmmmm... So they are. :good: That's a little strange.Well then I presume they made a mistake and I was just fortunate enough to buy them at that price and they couldn't then say they would be more so had to let me have them and I'm not giving them back now.

Sorry if I misled you funrunner. I thought I would share a good bargain but I guess my buying them alerted them to their mistake.

Always worth looking for a bargain when the new model comes out. Rebels always heavily discount the previous model.

Last week I got 4 pairs of Asic 2130s for $99ea. Gone now and the replacement 2140s are $199.

I should be right for road shoes until 2011 now :-)

No worries Yondi. Glad you got a good deal. I just thought I'd see what their Nike Vomeros were at that's all, but I'd normally to go to the shop to buy anyhow.

I bought a pair of Glycerin 6 from one of their stores last week marked down to $140 - they only had a few pairs left but bizarrely for me actually had my size

I wasn't very impressed with Rebel Online. Ordered a couple of things and they charged me two sets of shipping because they came from different warehouses. No warning about this, just added an extra $10 in charges. I complained about this and haven't heard anything back.

Did the $10 magically appear before or after you clicked on 'OK'?

Did you get an emailed transaction confirmation?

If it appeared after and is different from your receipt, you can just charge it back through your bank. It's an unauthorised charge, the bank can't charge you, and Rebel have no comeback.

It didn't appear at any time in the transaction. It was only after the goods had shipped they emailed me to advise goods had shipped and I noticed I was being charged an extra $10. I emailed a reply saying that they should remove the extra $10. Never heard anything back from them, although I notice the $10 was later reversed. So an unauthorised charge and then no response to the email. Not likely to use them again.
