Twisted - I couldn't agree more!
After swearing Canberra would be my last marathon, I am already toying with the idea of "Backing Up" and doing the Great Ocean Road Marathon in a few weeks - however, I feel this could end very badly.....

My next race is Hunter Valley Half in July. It'll be my first half.

Between now and then though my goal is to focus on my running. I've been buggering around doing triathlon and adventure races and my running has sufferred. Now it's time to run, just run.

The CR girls (Plod, Carmen, Fred) have elevated him to Uber Legend - comparing him to you Brick.....though the title doesn't quite sit so comfortable with him.
I'll continue his school holiday diet of Hungry Jacks, chips and kebabs. Seemed to do the trick at Canberra  :hi: .

Only did the 5km at Canberra and next race is yet to be decided...City to Surf in August is for sure but will see what happens with training - I need to step up now and work harder in order to get to my first HM - wish I was doing Hunter Valley race festival but will be away.  Aiming for HM in later half of 09...  Maybe Canberra 2010 can be my marathon goal?? (So inspired by all the reports)

Recovering well after Canberra.  Thought about the smc half but only did the 10k.  Want to run a good time tomorrow in the Striders/ANSW 10k.  Not quite up to WE100

Then Mother's Day runs - 8 & 4k

SMH half - May go out to cheer on NF100 runners on Saaturday

SMC 25k

Great Nosh (& return? Did the run back last year - that was hard!)

Thinking about Macleay River Marathon

Then Bay run, Woodford to Glenbrook and maybe Hunter Marathon

Really disappointed not to make the start line of Canberra. But my next challenge is to run sub-90mins for half at Melbourne Half Marathon in October. I'll have two half marathons leading up to it at Sandy Point and AV Burnley to gauge where I'm at. I like my chances to go under 95mins, but want to see how close I get. For the next two months I'll be taking it pretty easy before settling down and working away at this goal from July (or whenever we get back from Sydney).

Depends on how much you want it.  I think a PB is not far away. :)

My next goal, after months of doing not more than the odd 5km, is to get my self in shape for the 3:30 pacing duties at M7 Cities Marathon.
