You and me both, brother, but I somehow think that you've got a better chance of pulling it off.  :LMAO:

Pioneer Womens' Trail Run - 26km from Handorf to Burnside (SA) - mother's day. There is a thread on this run somewhere.

Don't know how long it will take me as this is a first, and there are some lovely hills (the up sort first and then the down sort).

I am off to Comrades in a weeks time. First time back in SA in 7 years- should be interesting.

As for the sub 90 on the SMH half, I think some of you may surprise yourselves. I ran the 50km in Canberra last year in 4:12 and was not nearly as fit as I am now but then went on to do the SMH half in 88. In fact I went through the first 10km in 38.50 ish (way too fast to sustain) and so came off a lot. Trick I have found is that if you still have power coming up Hunter on the second lap then you will do well. Important to keep the first 10km to just under 45 and you will be fine. Don't get too excited (like I did) in the first downhill run. Next time I do this run I will be more conservative at first.

Good luck I am sure you can do it and like me last year you folks may surprise yourselves.

Just enterd the Park2Park Half Marathon. My goal is to do it in under 2hrs and 15 minutes which would make me 18 minutes faster then last year.

If I remember correctly, you ran a 4km cross country race in 22 minutes something. Assuming that you do enough training for the half you should be able to do it in about 2:09 according to Mcmillan. It also says that you should be able to do 10km in 58:xx - I notice your goal for the B2B is 1:15.

What's next: M7 Cities Marathon in July I think.

Primary goal: To enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Canberra.

Can't decide...

I had planned on the following:

May - SMH Half Marathon with view to earning a red group entry for the C2S
June - serious speed training
July - Sutherland2Surf, goal time of sub-47 mins
August - City2Surf, goal time of sub-65 mins

Only problem is now after completing a marathon all I can think about is running another one!

Just entered the Great Ocean Rd half (23km) and the Woodford to Glenbrook 25k trail run - my first trail run!

The bigger plan is to finally get my 10k PB down to a respectable sub 50 mins

Canberra half
Perth or Macleay river
King of the mountain
M7
Coastal classic
Sydney
Fitzroy falls.

If I can manage to get to most of these I'll have a good year!

I'll be taking some time out to reflect and recover and rebuild.  Then I'm doing the Mount Solitary Ultra this Sunday.

Shredder Have u done fitzroy falls b4? It's nice area but I imagine it'd be a tough marathon. Also looks like its on around the same time as the Melbourne marathon which I want to do this year. I'll have to keep it in mind for future years. Is it a normal marathon or ultra like six foot track?

Fitzroy falls is a trail marathon but not nearly as tough as 6ft. It normally takes about 15-25min longer than a road marathon. It's a nice run thru the forest mostly on fire trails with a couple of creek crossings. Normally about 120 starters with a friendly atmosphere. I've run it a couple of times backing up after a poor showing in Sydney needing to redeem myself! Fitzroy falls is definitely work the run if you are not going to Melbourne.

My 2:50 mara says I should be able to run sub 36 for 10. That seems like a challenge to me :Raised Eyebrow:
