Hi,
I am following Pat carrolls GC 1/2 marathon program and this week calls for 10 x hill repeats. I was planning on doing an easy jog for 15-20 mins then stretching and then run up a hill thats about 90 secs long and walk down and repeat.
is this the sort of hill required or should I be looking for something longer?

Why don't you email him and ask? He's very amenable to approaches via email.
In my opinion 30-60 seconds is plenty long, and it needn't be too steep either . Maybe only 3% plenty for GCM training.
