My god it is sooo good to see athletes crossing into the 400m.
These sprinters have my respect. Ignoring the old rule of 4x100 + 2.5-3secs, these athletes are still running very good 400m times with little 400m specific training.

A lot further down the list:
Tiger Boy - 1208 points, 13.17, 26.8, 58.55
Looks like I have some work to do.

Yeah I have to agree, its great seeing some of them also doing the 400m.
Slightly offtopic but what times do you think Carl Lewis would have run the 400m in ?

slightly offtopic, but somehow the 300m fits in here :
Prefontain classic :
300 m:
1. L. Merritt 31,30 - year world best
2. X. Carter 31,93
3. Spearmon 32,14
4. Crawford 32,47
5. Neville (všetci USA) 32,49
Merritt was trying for the world best, hold by Michael Johnson (30,85),
but only impoved his PB by 0.01 from 2006 also from Eugene
and so he secured his second all time position at this distance
however he is the leader in performances achieved at low altitude.
somehow it is surprizing that Merritt is not ranked higher at 100-200-400 combo

Bolt is in Ostrava, running 100 tonight, promissed 100,000 for new WR.
What is more interesting is his interviews in Czech medias, talking lots of stuff,
the relevant for this topic :
Bolt is fully focusing this year on gold medals in Berlin 100+200 and does not expect
the need of running WR to get them.
Straight after Berlin Bolt starts hard preparation for 400m for the 2010 season
talking about 400m WR.
Bolt is not fully convinced on the idea and is a bit scared of it, but he trsut his coach fully
and so will likely follow.
The next interesting stuff relevant to this topic is :
Project Bolt : at 2012 olympics run 100 + 200 + 400 and get all 3 gold medals
to become forever as the most famous etc etc athletes in history
He certainly is making T&F interesting lately

He is still 3rd in the rankings but the only one to break the three milestones.

2007 triple World champion Tyson Gay reached a unique sprinting milestone on Saturday (17) after breaking through the 45-second barrier in the 400m..
