Well my question is, how much can this keep happening, everyone keeps telling me when i say i will improve by 40 seconds cos i did it last time tells me that i am full of it and that there is no way i can get improvements like this and that i will level out and that my time will just be the same as last time, (This includes my trainers) and i tell them no i will improve because otherwise whats the point of training, proven today when i ran 42 seconds faster than my previous run

I am still no where near the fitness level that i want to be i am still overweight at 108kgs, and still feel i have lots of improvement left in me, but yeah what do you think. Also do you think that i am getting into this too quickly, i was couch level at the beginning, no fitness at all and a smoker

There will come a point of diminishing returns, but sounds like you still have a long way to go to reach your potential. I would guess at least a year substantial improvements. It has often been considered that it takes at least 5 years of consistent training to get close to your potential. Keep up the good work.

Hi dude, while your progress is good over 2klm dont get to caried away my sister is 10 and can do 8:30 and im 15 and would easily break 6 minutes. the improvements have to slow down or you will be world record holder in a few months, it just wont happen. Not trying to depress you just answer your question honestly, the principle of diminished returns makes sure that as we approuch our own personal limit our progress gets slower and as we approach this limit the chance of injury also increases so take it slowly. Ok to get excited but i suggest testing yourself with a race or two. Good luck
