Is it just me - I cant watch that Giro coverage on SBS that commentator bloke is bloody awful. Its like watching a drunken mate videoing it on his cellphone and speaking over the top in between beers.

Apparently the organisers wanted too much money for Phil's network. So instead we are stuck with Paddy Agnew who ums and ers and stammers his way through the broadcast almost unintelligibly. Not SBS's fault though - they've got to take what they can get

It really is poor - the SBS website has put up a message "please stop comlpaining about the commentary" !

It is shocking. Massive race with Aussies killing it and this is the garbage we're served. I'd rather them delay the broadcast by an hour and have someone intelligent over-dub the commentary.

SBS's coverage is far superior to that of the other channels.

I've been watching it on Eurosport Asia Pacific - they show each stage live - commentary is their own but at least it's better than Paddy. They finished in my home city (well - my Parent's) on Stage 2 - so many memories.......

Wow - They've actually kicked out Paddy and brought in two new commentators ! amazing! Public Service Broadcasting works. Cant imagine Channel 9 or Ten doing that!.
