Jimboy,

I have a Results Book for the 1984 Sydney Striders/National Panasonic Half Marathon. Bill Raimond, age 47, finished 13th overall in a time of 1:09:52. He won the 45-49 Age Group by 4 minutes.

A certain James Beisty came 3rd in the 50-59 group with a time of 1:23:57.

[Also noted is Michael Beisty, who came in 8th overall in 1:08:19.]

Bill Raimond's results from Canberra Marathon. I think he ran in a far few National Titles too.

1978 he ran 2:40:36
1982 2:29:07
1984 2:30:32

His name pops up quite often around that time in the Australian Marathon Champs too. He ran 2:28 in 1984.
