Hey WC, good to see you back on the boards (well, you may well have been posting but just not where I'm looking). I have no useful advice for training....except stay sensible and you will be fine. Having just done my first HM in Bathurst, I can say it's well and truly doable, a great achievement and go for it! Mind you, yours will be way faster than mine will ever be!
Hope your running is going well and see you running somewhere soon......

I know you have just done your first sub 40 minute 10km you need to keep this pace for another 11kms for 85 minutes.
My only advice would be enjoy your first Half marathon and do not race it so hard and listen to yoyr coach he knows what you have done and most likely knows best what you are capable off at a half.
Good luck WC, which Half are you planning?

Personally I'm not a big fan of 16y.o's running half marathons, there's plenty of time to get these longer races in.
Having said that however, if you have a coach, and he believes you're ready to race that distance, then he would be the best one to ask questions of as he would know you a lot better than most on CR, and would probably tailor a plan to suit you, rather than just a generic off the shelf training plan.
The problem on asking advice in a forum like this, is that you will get heaps of advice, mainly well meant, but often from complete strangers who don't know your running background, and much of the advice will be conflicting.
This is why if you have a coach, he's your best resource.
