Has anyone else had the same issue? I am a mild supinator, and tend to wear the outer edge and the ball of the shoes. Ideas??? PLEASE?
Thanks.....

I moved to the nike pegasus - another neutral shoe, which I now like, although they don't have as much cushioning as the nimbus and took me a while to get used to them. But they are a lot wider, which works for me. Might be worth a look.

Brooks Glycerin are good, I use them now, and I hear the neutral NB is good too

For other reasons I've given Asics the flick. The childish way they are conducting themselves bullying retailers OS into not selling to Australia is indicative of how little regard they have for the retailers and their Australian customers. I don't deny they should be making a reasonable profit but to use bullying tactics to prevent overseas stores from selling to Australia so they can make an extra ~$100 on a pair of shoes is nothing short of corporate greed.
I'm giving New Balance 1063s a try at the moment, the 5 or so runs I've done in them have been quite impressive. Thanks for the tip on Saucony Colsy I'll look into the Omnis.

Walshy mentions the narrow toe box. I have a wide foot and assumed I needed a wide shoe. I have found what I actually need is a shoe with a straighter "last". AF changed my shoe to a Reebok (and also brooks) and I have never had a problem since.
Definitely not knocking brands, as a million people here love Asic Gel, just saying how my running gait didn't suit that particular shoe.

Switched to Nike Pegasus for the last couple of pairs of shoes, and can't complain at all. Great shoe - more affordable (you can get these on VERY good on-line specials because so many of them are made). I still run in lightweight neutral Asics shoes for races (speedstars) and they complement the Pegasus well.
If you're looking for old Nimbus stock in Oz, perhaps Stringer Sports an on-line retailer based in Melbourne is worth a look. I've made a few orders with them, and they've been great.

Nimbus are the best soft cushioned shoe but they are heavy and quite bulky around the ankle. For long training runs and when I have niggles they are ideal. Like Miners, I wear Speedstars for speed work.
Another neutral shoe that is cheaper & lighter is the Cumulus - worth a look.

Da missus, who runs 60-80klm per week, ran in Nimbus for eons, up until version 8, when they rang in substantial changes. Caused lotsa problems with knees and ankles. She ditched 'em and finally found a shoe that she liked - Adistar Cushion 6. Had three or four pair before Adidas dropped the model and replaced it with the "Ride". But they were no good, so back to the drawing board.
She's finally settled on Brooks Glycerin, but it took some time (400klm) before she was truly comfortable, as they felt significantly different to any shoe she'd worn before. The interesting thing is that with both Nimbus and Adistar C6 there was always noticeable signs of wear (outer edge, like you) even after after as little as 100klm. But, with the Brooks, after 500klm there is still no sign of any wear. Why is that? Is this shoe somehow correcting her supinator tendencies?
FWIW, was in Hawaii last week and came across cheap Nike Free's (5, V4) and bought meself a pair - love 'em.

I still switch between them, and use the Nimbus if I'm going on a trail.

I noticed the Vomero 3's are on sale at a few sports shops at the moment as they are going to release the 4's very soon so you may be able to pick up a bargain. SportsPower had them for around $160, down from $230.
