Pretty good service, I ordered some shorts on Thursday morning and they arrived in the post on Friday! They were only $37 including postage, can't do much better than that.

How do you like the shorts? I was going to order the shorts but ended up ordering the 3/4 tights because the shorts looked a little 'short' to me. I didn't just want to compress the top half of my thighs. :Praying:

They are short without being too short!  I just like them to stop the jiggle factor of the bum, I'm not too worried about the thighs.  I also don't like the ones that stop just above the knees as the uncompressed part between shorts and knees is not a pretty sight.  Oh woe, to be on the wrong side of forty  :Praying:

Mine arrived today as well. Thankfully they fit quite well, though with my short stumpy legs the 3/4 tights look like full length.  :Praying:

I ordered some gear on Friday and it came today also - very impressive service.

I got one of the women's long sleve compression tops which looks really good but there is a problem - it rides up during a run. Any ideas on how to stop this happening because it's really annoying! I have to pull it down every few minutes! I have a short sleve skins compression top and that has some kind of clear plastic strip along the bottom and that seems to prevent this. Does anyone know if you can you buy that plastic stuff?

thanks!

Received the email below on Tuesday 6 October from Linebreak.

Whoah Nelly - what a weekend!

We hit the Grand Final double-header pretty hard at the LineBreak office and among the delirium came a truly inspired moment. Ever noticed how inspiration can lurk in the strangest of places? In this case, it was at the bottom of our office manager’s beer glass about 3am Monday. “Hey everybody, lishen up, I’ve got a suggeshtion” he drawled “Red and white are winners, black and white are winners – why don’t we do a special in those colours?” Then he fell asleep on the office sofa still wearing his undies on his head – yep it was a big weekend.

So now the hangovers have settled down to a dull roar, that’s exactly what we’re gonna do with our hottest new colours.

For the next 14 days we’re making three special styles HALF PRICE…

1.      Men’s Long Shorts in RED AND WHITE $75 down to $37.50

2.      Men’s Long Sleeve Tees in RED AND WHITE $100 down to $50

3.      Womens Performance Tights in BLACK AND WHITE (well the silver stitching is close to white) $120 down to $60

Here’s the shop site www.linebreak.com.au/shop here’s the code RWBS061010 and here’s the expiry date 21/10/10.

Can’t wait till next footy season!

All the best,
The LineBreak Team

How do you get on their email list?  I can't see how you can subscribe, and I've purchased from them before, and I still don't receive these emails.

I got the same email as Slim.  50% represents pretty good value if you need or use this kind of stuff.  Its their entire range as well which includes more than compression gear.

I have a couple of pairs of the tights (3/4) and thought I would mention that they run quite big, you can go down a size in this brand.

was cotemplating a purchase. How does Linebreak compare to 2XU, skins and BSC?? Is it as good, worse?? Am I wasting my money?

I have two pairs of long compression tights that I wear in winter - seems to do an OK job.  Its hard to compare as I dont have other brands.

Given the whole compression discussion is a bit up in the air its a pretty hard question to answer as some feel a load of bollox, others swear by it.

I wear compression tights because they are so comfortable, stop the wobbly bits vibrating, and prevent chafing. They are also modest (i.e. as opposed to split shorts etc), and despite appearances, are cool in the heat of summer. Also provide sun protection. I have never worn BSC, so can't comment on them. My comparison is between Linebreak, 2XU and Skins :

Skins : good compression, waist a bit tight and cuts in too much to sleep in them in my opinion.
2XU : look super-funky, very stylish, but waist-line was much too low in the girls version so I ended up with mens. They have a draw-string waist rather than a waist-band, which never moves once it is comfortably tightened. Very good compression in different zones.
Linebreak : probably my favourites, I have 3 pairs of 3/4 length, all with holes in the left knee from falling over on trails! Still, that doesn't affect their performance. The waistline is a good height, nice wide flat band that doesn't cut in, and once you start to sweat it doesn't move or fall down. Good compression but get a size smaller.

Interesting comments.  And you forgot to mention that with the 50% discount you can get a pair for about $50, whilst 2XU are about $200 or thereabouts?

Linebreak have a Christmas special again this year. 50% off with the code  XMAS50.

I got some shorts with the code. Now I'm just hoping they are a reasonable length. Bit hard to tell on the photo.

They reply pretty quick by email... maybe they haven't updated their website lately. Out of interest what was your sizing question? Some CRers here might know.

I find Linebreak great for the price :D

I like the Linebreak stuff and have several pairs, but it is strange how it is cheaper on some overseas sites than here in Aus (even with the Aus discount)and the company is just up the road here. Have not figured that one out yet. Good gear though, but not always the best prices around.

I have Linebreak full length compression pants and shorts.  I love the full length compression however I have lost weight and need a size smaller!  The shorts are not a good fit for me.  I started in the large and went for a run in them but found they kept riding up my leg.  So after some excellent customer service on their part, I swapped them for the medium.  While they do not ride up my leg as severly as the large ones did, they still ride.  I like my shorts a little bit above the knee and these are a bit shorter than that.
Apart from my issues, they have good compression and excellent service!

Hmm, well I wear XS Skins, am a size 6-8, and am an XXS in linebreak. Based on that I would size down to XS linebreak? But the customer service is REALLY awesome. If you get the wrong size you just email them and they send you out a new one with a prepaid envelope to pop the old one back in.... so you can exchange at no expense. Good luck!
I find the Linebreak sizing chart really off... I believe it tells me I should wear a S, so I got a XS, and that was not compressive enough!
