Hello there,

It seems every time I purchase a new pair of shoes for distance training it doesn't take long before they start to squeak.
The noise is at the front end of the shoe and happens when walking. The squeak is coming from in between the insert and the inside of the shoe itself.

Eek Eeek Eek...it does my head in!

Any tips on how to stop this.

Talc - tried/failed.
WD40 - tried/failed.

Frustrating as I am running (pardon the pun) out of options!

Thanks,

OO are ya

Have you checked your shoes for mice?

If it's hard to look beneath the insert then maybe smear a little bit of cheese in the toe box. They don't really like eating talc or WD40

Run on trails, i'd be very surprised if they still squeaked then.

What brands of shoe and models are you having issues with ?

if it is due to orthotics rubbing soap over the edges works! but needs reapplication after rain :)

Last two pairs were adidas.....squeek squeek.....no matter I am due for another pair as these have done their quota.
