I'm hoping to put a female team together for the Canberra HIM 13/12/2009 I was to be there for cheering duties but thought it might be fun to have a go. I'm willing to put my hand up for the bike leg, so now need a swimmer and runner.

The team will not be for champions just a females that wants to have fun and finish their leg in the cut off time.

If interested either reply here or send me a PM

Hmmmm.

I could be interested. I will run it by the coach.

I am pretty slow though.

My swim would be around 55 mins or my run would be around 2:30-2:40.

KB it would be great to have you on board, I'm surprised that your not doing the whole thing!
I was one of the strangers in the crowd at the Gold Coast giving you a cheer.

I could potentially be talked in to run leg. Should be in shape for around 1.45ish 1/2 at present.. I just have to survive the longer mtn races over next 3wks and talked hubby into another day of looking after the kids....

I've had a chat to the coach and he is happy for me to do the swim.

I am slow but enthusiastic. So I am here if you want me but it will be around a 55min swim.

I did 54:12 on the Gold Coast - so hopefully I could go faster than that!

I won't be offended at all if you find someone a little speedier. We are heading down to Canberra anyway to cheer for Balance Triathlon Club racers.

Woodenlegs I am not doing the whole race as I am in training for IM

I can't believe I am putting my hand up voluntarily for the swim leg of a triathlon - wonders will never cease!

How exciting it looks like we can put girls CR team together for Canberra HIM

KB I think it would be great to be on your team. You just have to look at this web site to appreciate your enthusiasm. A 1.9 k swim will be a snack for a future IM.

Now to work on bbren to convince her that a 21.1k jaunt will be easy compared to all that hill running.
