Hey cool running family!
just a few questions about the nike free everydays.

(1) i have recently sprained my ankle and would like to no if the everydays would make it worse or strengthen my anle more??

(2) i live 4 hours away from melbourne and really want these shoes but where i live they only have the nike free 5.0's . does the 5.0 and the everydays have the same fitting size and styles?
so that if they do. i can get my size in the 5.0's then order the everydays from melbourne.

please help i love these shoes!

If you are thinking of go for the free type shoe range i would suggest go for somthing like the lunarglide or lunar racer

i tried on the lunar glide but it didnt fit properly because my foot was to narrow for the shoe.. but when i go to the melbourne i will try on the racer and the everydays. would r4yl be the best place for shoes in melbourne?

Not Sure about where to buy shoes in melbourne you will find that the lunar racer is a bit more narrow mine are i little tight for my duck like feet.

Hey hjjrw22,

The FREE Everyday and 5.0 are two different beasts.
The Every day is actually a fairly stable shoe on camera, it just has a ton of flexibility in the forefoot with the full free siping midsole.
It will also have a higher "rake" or ride height than that of the 5.0 too, essentially it's more of a shoe than the 5.0 (which is halfway between barefoot and a running shoe on a scale of 0 - 10)
I'd make sure your ankle is fully healed first and then depending on your foot strike you can use either the 5.0 or everyday, if you overpronate then I'd look at the everyday more closely than the 5.0.
Remember with FREE it's all about progressive adaptation, take it slowly one day at a time and listen to your body as everyone is different.
Hope this helps a little.

Chris.

IMO, Runner's World in High Street Kew, is the best place to go for shoes in Melb.

No fancy treadmills or any stuff like that, just a really big range and staff that know their stuff.

Last time I was there (three weeks ago) they had both the Free's and the lunar racers on the shelves.

+1, and I would give them a +10 if they stocked trail shoes.
Please annoy Neil for me on this matter while you are there.
