I am looking into buying New Balance shoes and wearing them for my long long runs. Does any New Balance runners knows what is NB's equivalent for ASICS kayano thats is high mileage and of good quality? I am currently on ASICS Kayano 14 / 15.

Any links to a NB shoe much appreciated.

I always find this handy - courtesy of Brooks.

Has six major brands and the equivalent shoes (in Brooks' Opinion).

Hi,

I have never tried the Asics Kayano, but I think it is similar to the NB 903/4/5.

I am a big fan of the 903/904, and I am on my first pair of 905's now. Very light weight and they are far more durable than NB suggest.

Hi buzzlightyear,

How did you go with this?
How does the 1225 compare to the kayano?

Or perhaps somebody else can offer comparative feedback.

Any comments appreciated.

Cheers.

Nizar.

Nizar,

Can't compare them against the kayano but I have I run in the following,
1220
1221
1222
1223

Upto this point they were great, however NB changed the way they have made the shoe and I find that I can't use them anymore.

Currently I am using Brooks Adrenalin 10 after running in the Nike LunarLite and have found that neither of these match the orginal NB shoes that I ran in.

My advise would be to try the different shoes on and make the comparison yourself as everones feet are different.
