HI..
I'm looking to get myself an indoor cycling trainer so that I can get more time on the bike..
Reading various reviews..I've been told a Fluid based trainer is good..but as for brands and models I am a little confused. Read reviews on the Cycleops...
Can anyone who has recent experience with purchasing a trainer give me some direction?
cheers gff

After years of using a very noisy windtrainer, I finally lashed out and got a Kurt Kinetic fluid trainer from Tridownunder.com. They're not cheap, but I use mine a lot and its been a godsend. Its very quiet, so you can use it without waking the whole house and still hear the TV/radio. You can vary the resistance by changing gears on your bike. They are the ones used in the Spinervals DVDs which I also use a lot. Coach Troy rules!

I second re the noisy windtrainer - I bought a used cheapie and whilst it works fine it makes a real racket...just about impossible to hear the TV.
If that bothers you then you need to spend more for a fluid one.
Of course if you really want to improve your technique then rollers are the way to go (or so I hear)

Here is another vote for Kurt Kinetic! One of the best purchases I have ever made and I agree with Suzy, Coach Troy rules!
