I have 7 weeks until a half. I have endurance just not speed and I'm not sure what to do with my program for the next few weeks in terms of some faster paced runs- how long/often to do well in the half. I did a full marathon one month ago (really really slow). 2 weeks ago I ran a 10k in 55mins, not really pushing hard until the last km (2 weeks after my mara). I have a half on this weekend which I will use to see how I'm going. I have 2 x 10km racess in the lead up to the half which is at the end of Feb - one hilly 10k and one flat 10k- the flat one is 4 weeks before the half.
I would appreciate any recommendations about what to do in my training for some faster runs. (I do one long run (18-25k each week), one hilly run a week about 50-60mins, a couple of easy runs between 45-60mins, and one or two days off depending on how the week is).
I am aiming for under 2 hours in my half.
I have a one mile loop that I like doing and I enjoy faster runs alternating a few mins fast then slow, but am not really sure what type of workouts will help the most for a half. I haven't done these types since around Sept as I had a groin injury which is now OK so I can get back to some faster runs.
Thanks!

Speed/stamina is a relative thing, what you need is more speed without loosing stamina.
IE: Not need to slow down.

Once a week do your 1km loops as sets.
Warm up 2kms.
6xset 1km loop at 10km pace 1km loop at easy pace.
Cool down 2kms.

Nice hard session of 16kms will certainly help with both stamina and speed.
