Has anyone here tried the new'ish Brooks Infiniti 2 running shoe? I've been using the earlier Brooks Infiniti for a year or so now and found them pretty good. Am wondering how the Infiniti 2 compares. I did some reading and it seems they have made it less tight fitting across the top of your foot. Other than this, does anyone know how similar they are to the earlier version?

Hey there,

The Infiniti 2 has the same midsole/outsole (i.e. cushioning & support) as Infiniti 1. The only changes that were made were to the upper materials and design.

Run happy,

I love the Infiniti. If it came in pink I would buy half a dozen pairs :unknw:

I love Infiniti 1..and bought quite a few pairs.

Plod - I have a purple pair that I can't wear (long story......) new out of the box. If you're interested, let me know.

I'm now trying Glycerin 8, (another long story)...but may return to Infiniti 2.

Hi Plodbod :D

Lovely to hear from you......tried to send you a PM but it bounced back.

They are a size 9 (40.5).

Let me know if they are a good match and I'll tell you the long story....

I have been using a pair for about 6 months now. Have no experience with the previous model but am generally quite happy with them.

Only question is availablity to replace them.
They are starting to wear a bit thin under the forefoot so decided to start browsing around. I am in Perth so went to the Brooks Outlet store at Harbour Town and they do not appear to have much of a range. Will need to look around.

It's still going...... roll on to Infiniti 2 - at least then I would be on topic for this thread, instead of hijacking!

Story involves buying up last pairs online before they were discontinued...and then finding some very slight variation in the model depending on colour (pod calls me the 'Princess and the Pea'). Now have to start all over again, just when I was fairly smug about not having to outlay any more $ for running shoes for at least another 6 months.

Lesson learnt (maybe)
