If you need a fill in for the BRW Tri in Melbourne, I am super keen. I have completed the last two, but different company this year :-(
Currently racing in the Gatorade series and XOSize series.
Happy to pay my share, get involved in training or train beginners if needed.
I can live in hope

Hey BiancaPickett,
I know how it is - I did last 2 BRWs but have changed company. I have let various people know I'm available as a fill-in if any vacancies occur due to injury/other pull-outs. Nothing yet, but I caught up with former colleague at end of Gatorade at Portarlington last Sunday and I'm hopeful ... we will see..
If I don't do BRW, I thought I'd do either Western Suburbs Tri www.wstc.org.au ... or maybe more likely I might do Sri Chinmoy run around Yarra Boulevard http://au.srichinmoyraces.org/events
Good luck in looking for a BRW place.
Cheers,

Hey BiancaPickett,
Just when I was starting to think of who to contact about finding a BRW vacancy to fill..... I was down at Elwood this morning doing a Brick training session and ran past a few old work colleagues. When I got back to the Elwood SLSC at the end of my run I started chatting and lo and behold, they asked if I could help them out by filling-in for someone who just dropped out of one of their teams ... yes !!
I hope you also get some good luck on this as well. I will let you know if I hear of anything.
Cheers,
HughB

If you can't find yourself a spot the western suburbs tri (in Altona) is a good alternative to the BRW. It is on the same day and the sprint version is a similar distance.
It is a much smaller event but is well run and has a friendly/casual feel to it.
