I have spoken to Dr Bob who is one of the runners in the photo, and his advice was stay away. but I don't always listen to advice. the main point he had to make was that he almost froze and but for a jacket lent by another runner would probably still be out there. this is a seriously difficult endeavour.
just right for you then. Have to see if I am fit by then

That's why I was thinking somewhere around Sept - still a bit cooler but days start getting a bit longer. How does 25th Sept sound? Can someone who knows how book it into the Calendar? I guess put it down for a 7am "official" start. I probably get going before dawn to give myself a better chance of getting onto the trail on the other side in daylight.

Need to look at calendar but sounds good. We would need to organise a lift to Kanangra, car shuffle maybe. I will update the calendar.
Cheers.

mmmm....how should I put this politely my little duckling...one must learn to navigate the puddles before heading out into the ocean. K to K is going to be a major stretch for me. Sunday was like hanging out in the play pen.

No worries!! Appreciate the advice. Will look for some other puddles to play in, and will watch this thread to see how you go. Good luck to all - especially Mother Duck.

Hellgate would be a great puddle for you to head for and maybe see how you're tracking after that. Then we can head out on some more of those secret single trails...

Hey Kev,
Before I posted no K2K precise date was given yet. I did try looking for Glasshouse but could not find it.
Thanks for update

I have completed it over the last 2 years as a run/walk with my bushwalking group and it would be great fun to do it with a group of CR's.
Having just read Spud's report, I would agree lots of water is required and you are right Spud it takes more like 10-12hrs to complete not 7-8hrs...its a long day.
Although I think you would go much faster now Spud.

Last did this a few(!) years ago. Got to Medlow Gap competely stuffed and was very happy to get a lift to Katoomba with some folks who just happened to passing through.
Great challenge and will be sorry to miss this opportunity.
