All confirmed to do the OD race. Am doing the N'cle Foreshore triathlon coming up this weekend which I'm hoping will be a good lead up.

Was going really well with the training in January but have dropped off quite a bit this month. 4 weeks to go though so no more mucking around.

Watch me bringing up the rear right from the start gun.

I won't be in this year but am hopeful of being there for a short time at least as cheer squad. I have a christening to go to at 9am so will try and fit everything in somewhere.

I'm in. Last year I did my first ever tri completing the solo in 1 hour and 5 minutes. Going for the Diehards this year. Haven't trained very well so I reckon I'll be brining up the rear but can't wait to prove to myself that I can do it. Aiming for 1:45

Weather forecast: 30 degrees and sunny.

Woohoo.

Well, it's done and dusted. I managed to finish which was all I was after. I managed to finish in 3.29.15 which may have been the second slowest time of the day (male and female over all age categories) but was still quicker than the range that I was expecting (3.5 to 4)

How did everyone else go??

Well done mate..it was a hard course..I did the diehard and though I has some times in mind..I was pleased to have completed it without any major mishaps..

The bike was hard and it took me ages...completed the whole thing in 2 hours..about 15 min slower than I had hoped...

It was a fun day out!

This looked a fantastic weekend. I'm feeling really sad I didn't get to it (injured, and actually only found out about it a couple of weeks ago..). I would definitely have entered if I could. Glad you enjoyed your day!

Have to agree with Getfitfast - the bike course was a killer! Looked at the course elevation (Oly Distance) and the total climb was 95m per lap - or 475m overall...

Legs still sore
Happy to have finished this time round :D

Congratulations and well done everyone!
