My wife needed some motivation and guidance from someone other than me. She has joined and I will be very interested in seeing not necessary the results for my wife but what guidance etc is provided.

Well we are meant to be supplied a training plan and menu for each week so should be interesting. I plan to use running as my main aerobic activity but am interested in the toning/strength exercises we will be required to do. Will let you know how it goes!

I'm doing it! Actually I'm involved in some of the behind the scenes. There are lots of budding runners in there so I was thinking of linking to Cool running. It'd be great for many members who need running support. Maybe I'll link to this thread and start a 12WBT in cool running!

I would like to try it but I am going to be overseas on holiday for about 5 weeks during this 12 week program. I would like to start it and then put the program on hold for that 5 weeks while I'm away and then pick it up when I get back. Does anyone know if this is going to be possible? I am also going to be busy on a course and not have access to a computer for quite a while during the last 2 weeks as well.

Essentially, my schedule isn't really conducive to committing myself for 12 weeks straight. Any ideas?

So far so good. Week 1 - been bit washed out by the weather in Brissie because I wanted to do the outdoor circuits so did one of her DVDs and also went for a run in the rain yesterday, think I killed an ipod headset as one of the earpieces got wet ;)

msbriz, interested to hear how you find it. I was very tempted to pay for my sister to do the program, but she recently had a bad arm break, so not good timing for her (a real pity as she really wants to do something like this). Will be interested to hear your feedback on the program, and any details of what it entails you are willing to share.

Hi Msbriz,
just wondering how you found the program in the end?
Kaybee.

New program starting next week.

I did a class with Michelle B about a month ago just after I had had surgery. It was challenging but fun.

Hi Kaybee,

Just thought i might respond to this.

My wife did the first round of this and I followed the excercise and food plan with her. It was brilliant. We both found it so easy to follow and with hardwork the results come quickly. It makes you look at your food intake and excercise completely different which is a good thing if your looking to watch your weight. It is so obvious that alot of people fall into a false sense of security when they start working out or excercising. This program not only puts you on the right path with excercising, but shows you how to couple it with healthy eating as well to maximise your results.

My wife is on track to run her first half marathon in two weeks at the gold coast, and I lost 15kg and have dropped over 8min off my 10k pb so to us the results were well worth it.

Please know though although with the support and guidance the program is easy to follow, it is not a walk in the park. This is not a miracle milkshake type diet where the kg's will fall off without any effort. This program takes alot of hardwork and determination to get the results. It isnt meant to be a quick fix, it is a lifestyle change and it is set out to help you fix all the bad habits that we all fall into.

Good Luck

I'm back from oblivion ;) ....I think the 12wbt was good for people who want to learn about food and exercise....for myself it was more a question of discovering I prefer running to doing circuits etc! The before photo was confronting though...I keep thinking back to it every morning I don't want to get out of bed to run!
