It's time again to replace shoes. (Isn't it always?)

I have been predominantly wearing Saucony (purchased through DFO when on special) which have served me well for distances up to 25-30Km. thats for each run - the shoes do last for substanially longer than 30k in their lifetime :D

I have dabbled with a few other brands with various success (and some niggling injuries) but find I keep going back to Saucony.

I now plan on upping my running K's substantially and am thinking of the worth in getting some professional advice on what shoes best suit my foot.

Although not flush with cash I feel it may be worth while to pay that bit extra upfront for a fit and appropriate shoe to save on further injuries.

Is this worthwhile or am I just as well served saving my money and continuing to buy shoes while on special?

If so where in Victoria would you recommend? And what sort of price would I be looking at?

I can only suggest what I'd do.

I'd stay with the brand and model that seems to work.

I'm with BT on this... if it ain't broke...

as it turns out, Saucony were recommended for me. Out of interest, what model of Saucony do you use? I'm a Grid Hurricane person - love them and have personally put the 9 pairs that i have owned / currently own through some pretty harsh treatment including plenty of trail work, an 80km run, 100km run and 160km run...

Have been trying out the Paramount - & regular shoe is the Triumph.
Both given good service. I haven't accurately tracked the distance of the Paramounts but would be up about 500k now (and a bit tired)
From each Triumph i'm getting around 7-800k out of them.
