...and Gold to Lapierre and Bronze to Watt in the Long Jump

NCAA 5000m indoor title and Aussie record to McNeill.

Australian Athletics is firing on all cylinders.

Even more brilliant news, and completely off topic, the Kookaburras beat Germany to win the hockey World Cup :D

Aussie Aussie Aussie!!!

Great to see the team getting such good results - was disappointing to watch Hooker struggle a little here in Melbourne the other night but great to see him over the 6m mark!!

I am not sure how many Australians know what a great world athlete Steve Hooker is. He holds the three crowns and was over 6m. All he needs now is some ideal conditions for the World Record.

Steve will also be running the Stawell Gift this year.

He has a recent 100m pb of 10.8 secs.

Seriously, his guy has better speed and better hair than almost everyone I know.

Love to see Hooker jump with the poles that were used during the Bubka era. He'd take the WR no problems, I reckon. Of course, the guy who had the rules changed and still sits on the same committee is probably not so keen on that. His name? Sergei Bubka.
