As a subscriber to Run For Your Life we know you are keen to receive your copy of the magazine before it is available at the newsagents, and over the past 5 years we have always made every possible effort to ensure this happens. >From Issue 33, this issue should now be resolved once and for all, as we have managed to remove an additional step in the mailing process and hope subscribers will now receive their copies 4-5 days before they are available at newsagents.  



Again we apologise for this latest incident, but we appreciate your support and if you have not received your latest edition, hopefully you will receive your copy in the next few days. If you haven’t received your copy by Wednesday the 7th of October, please contact us and we will reissue another copy out to you immediately.

Still waiting on mine too. Post have a tendency to slow the mail at times but this cough cough 'never' happens. I worked for them for 5 years and I can say bulk items are held back to keep the overtime down. Usually gets held up when foxtel and royalauto mags are out.

i don't think it would be an Aust. Post issue but the fault of the mailing house r4yl use (if they use one).

If it doesnt arrive in the next day or 2 all i'll be doing is looking at the pictures when it finally does.

Every day for the last week Easyhalf has been ringing me and telling about another great story he read in RFYL the night before, just the race results to come.

Have not read it yet, but it is a very big issue, I dont think any of the previous editions have had as many pages.

Has anyone in Melbourne got there’s yet?

My comment on the above email is that they have had these delivery problems to subscribers on and off for a couple of years.  Why has it taken until Issue 33 to resolve the issue once and for all when it has been an ongoing problem.

Once it does arrive, I’ll be interested to see how the quality control of this edition stacks up.  It's a great magazine content wise, but the last couple have contained an increased number of grammatical and spelling errors.  Possible the quality control slipped a bit with the change in editorial personnel.  Reminded me of the first few editions where there was a ‘spot the error’ thread on Coolrunning because there were so many of them.

Not yet here either.

I suspect their super-cheap subscription offer has sent numbers through the roof, and maybe they're struggling through a few teething problems.

Happy to cut them a fair bit of slack though - it's far and away the best running publication in Australia, and something tells me they're probably not doing it for vast rivers of money either.

It has all the same details on the page with my details(customer number, copies to expiry etc).

Mine arrived yesterday and was in my letterbox at almost the exact same moment whereupon I discovered i had in fact locked myself out of the house so needed something to do whilst I waited for my wife to come home so perfect timing really...... can't wait to submit my photo for the cover

I appreciated the 'Nutrition for Masters Athletes' article. An 80 yr old doing a 3.15 marathon seems incredible.  I guess I've got 20 yrs to shave off a further15-20mins.

Best issue for about a year I'd say. Really going off runners world at the moment. It feels like it's turned into a beginner women's running mag. Not that I'm against that, but it makes it less appealing to me. It's a shame though as I did like it.

Interesting if it's reacting to a consistent change in the market.

R4YL does the odd cracking edition, true.

But I read a Runners World book on nutrition over the Christmas holidays which has all but changed my life.

Keep spreading your reading around. There's tons of good stuff coming from all directions.

Runners Worlds market is different to R4YL. It' more of a fitness/lifestyle mag, with an emphasis on running... and circulation has been up for quite a while.

I thought it had always been "a beginner women's running mag" as you put it, but I have only been running for 18 months. Matches with what you're saying.

I can't stand it -- all just either promoting products, promoting services (physio etc) or navel gazing stuff about how to keep motivated. (Duh, just get up in the morning and run.)

Then again sometimes I'm not in the mood for R4YL, last editino was these shoes are all awesome and no they're not twice the price the should be at all at all... and this edition is all "barefoot, might be ok, might not be, who knows, but would you like to purchase some barefoot shoes?" It's still the best out there ... after all, is there really much to read or write about putting one foot in front of the other?
