I'm in.

Hoping the body holds together until then as it hasn't been kind to me in the last couple of years. Perhaps it's trying to tell me something....

Yeah I also sent off the email, waiting for confirmation. Still have unfinished business with this race, I really do hope though that the weather on the day is like today, my 2 previous attempts have been on the 2 hottest days in 2006 and 2009.

Was amazed to see this stay topic under the radar....

Not entries ?

I hear the Trotters are being very kind and we can walk up the hill after Watagan Creek 3kgs lighter as the water is going to be at the top this year.

Team HorrieBel have entered the 100 Miler again. Having got to Patonga in 2 out of 2 attempts and still no medal, this year is all about the medal for me. :)

I can't believe it is waitlist already. I think we need to better maintain the ultra cult mentality. Entries should only be by secret handshake :)

Fingers crossed we all get in even though I currently can hardly walk a step :D

Feck! I got my payment transferred at 6.03am but my email was playing up and the registration didn't get sent until later in the morning.  No "wait list" emails so far from Dave so here's hoping.

Happy for the ultra cult to go underground but can someone remember to tell me the secret handshake...oh and then remind me when I forget.

Yep, entry in about 3 seconds after 0600. I reckon this topic has remained quiet because people wanted to keep it a secret and have a chance of an entry.

Hermie I suspect it was the likes of you that made ultra running popular.
With your dapper hat and umbrella in C2K. People thought running Ultra's must be easy and let's not even start on your drinking iced milk habit. Probably everyone wanted to do that.

I am currently hunting a new hat for this year. Hoping for a boater if I can find one. And I did have a brolly last year for GNW but didn't use it.

Time for me to eradicate the GNW DNF track record.
I reckon completing the 100 miler for the next 5 years should do it!

I'm intently focused on wrapping my lips around the Patonga post this year.

What relief.

I have been accepted. All I have to do now is get fit, stay fit and get over the injury that was a major issue last year.

Some shock wave treatment on Thursday just might be the start of getting injury fixed then to work on the fitness ....... I am hoping to have a very special running buddy this to share the whole experience with.

Amazing that the race has filled within a couple of hours. This is becoming the norm in trail ultras in NSW. I agree with ourimbah, this time anway. :D  Anybody on the waitlist will be highly likely of getting a run as last year we even had people who had got a start after being on the waitlist withdrawing from the event. Remembering all the hoo haa about 6 Foot, nobody who wanted to run that event missed out either. I also agree with Eagle, it is still a relief to see your name on the Entrants list.

Good luck to everybody with their training and may we all achieve our goals.

Happy trails.  :)

Congratulations to those that are in (or on the wait list, I also think that there will be enough drop outs) I hope to see you out on the track in the next few weeks

How does that work???

I'm afraid that the combination of a mailbox size set too low and some entries received with huge attachments meant that some people's entries did not get through in the first 20 minutes after 6am yesterday.  In all of those cases, a message would have been automatically sent back to the sender, but sometimes they are filtered out by the Spam filter.  I'm very sorry for the problem this caused some people and I propose to remedy the situation by increasing the accepted Entrants List to include any people who can demonstrate to me that their Entry was made within the first 20 minutes and rejected by the system.  This will increase the accepted Entrants beyond 105, probably to around 110, and I will let it drift back down to 104 through withdrawals that will occur before taking people from the Wait List.  My best guess is that everybody who is currently on the Wait List will still get a run.

Some Entrants entered twice, sometimes via different email addresses and, in the case you quote, their second attempts got through.  Of course, in some cases, I received multiple entries from the same person and they all got through!

Hope this helps and sorry for the hassle to anyone who was affected.

Dave

Thanks for the explanation.

Congratualtions on the fantastic growth of this event. I don't think anyone at the start on the first year of the running of this event would have predicted that 100+ runners would enter within 20 minutes or so of entires opening. No doubt a combination of great organisation on the most challenging of courses. If you finish this one you can considered yourself a genuine ultra runner. This one is all about survival and getting to Patonga under 36 hours.

I am excited already.
