OK, this might be a silly question for some of you seasoned runners, but this Sunday I will be a country kid waaaay out of my depth in the Big Smoke running my first half-marathon.

I have looked at the course map on the Blackmores site, and it looks pretty cool, but I'm worried about getting lost - are the turns/course marked in some way?  Yes, I know there will be thousands of other runners there with me, but I don't want to end up following someone doing the full Marathon by mistake  :D

Can someone put my mind at ease?!

Cheers
Holmesie

You won't get lost, the course is marked, and when you get to the fork in the road (at around the 10km point) it is unlikely the marathon will have even started

Just another question. Does anybody know if there is one km markers all the way? Did they have them previous years? Sotty if this question has been asked in a different forum.

Well I didn't get lost, had a good run and finished in 1:55:04.   I was aiming for 2:00-2:05, so that was a great way to complete my first ever half-marathon  :D
