Good discussion all round on this. I'm still in favour of a new design (having shipped my cap to the new, loving, home of Rod the Hornet) but the 'old school' stalwarts are in abundance it seems!

From what I've read the CR gear seems more important to the older stalwarts and I say that with no amount of disrespect. There is obviously a history to this site (and the CR gear) that I was unaware of when I first joined. It was fairly recently that I realised that there was CR gear available for purchase (seems the cap is the most popular item among those who do wear CR gear) or that I read about the proud history of CR.
I just happened upon an Australian running forum with some interesting topics without thinking much further. That said, while I am most happy to support CR, the stuff for purchase just doesn't suit my needs (I don't wear caps) but I wouldn't think anyone wearing it was "naf".
Being from Adelaide, I am not on CR to try to join up with other runners (as this seems to be more an Eastern States sites), but rather tap into the experience of other runners around Australia.
If you feel proud to wear it, then wear it, if you don't feel proud to wear it, then don't wear it.
