Went to the joggers world website and they only seem to have the 2010 event on there.

i was wondering if anything had been confirmed (dates etc) for the 2011 series.

I heard a rumour that there may only be one run this year.  I think they ran at a huge loss last year, so can really only afford to put on one run this year.

2K, 4k, and 8k Run and Walk.

Thinking of using the 8k run in July to prepare for City to Bay.

I think that's the idea of the series... a lead-up to the CityBay. The Gold Coast has a similar series held at Sanctuary Cove leading into their marathon festival.

Don't know if it's still held actually, but each race varied between ten and fifteen kilometers over five races. These kinds of runs are ideal for building to race shape for the big day.

That's unfortunate. I was looking forward to doing a couple of them.

I believe that they contracted these events out to an event management company who probably charge them a flat fee regardless of the number of entrants so I am guessing they were concerned that they weren't going to break even due to low entry numbers.
