For those of you travelling up by train on saturday morning or home by train saturday or sunday, there is trackwork requiring changing to an express bus from Blacktown to either Strathfield or Wynyard (or v.v.). Link to timetables here
It also means that if you or your family are travelling within the mountains on saturday or sunday by train, trains will operate to different times.

There was trackwork on this line on 6FT weekend last year, might be time to start considering thumbing a lift.

We shouldn't take it personally: there seems to be trackwork every weekend. (I'm assured that Sydney's transport woes will disappear after March 26!)

Leaving Lower North Shore early Sat morning for Explorer tree for 5am arrival (If anyone wants a ride and don't mind the early departure PM me.
