Thanks Martin.  With nothing from Spot for a while I was wondering how they were going.

Spot has now reported they have reached Yarramalong.  They are doing bloody well.

received this Pm off Buzz - time 10:54am

Girls doing fantastic. Arrived Patoonga at dawn. Departed Brooklyn at   9.30am after a well deserved break and entertained by drunk locals (in the morning). Outside their schedule by 90minutes but they are certain to finish. No major problems.

Now that is looking like one gutsy effort.  Makes we want to run the trail now...

This is us (me, Buzzl, reporting from Karl's account in the warmth of his home base in Wahrongah) Myself, Helen Pretty(Koala1) and Karl are back briefly to refuel

Leeches by the hundreds. After each section, EVERY RUNNER have at least 10 to 20 leeches on each foot and routinely, we would go through the ritual of "de-leeching" It involves us (the trio crew) kneeling down upon to the runner, like a servant to a Queen, removing the socks for them. And one, after another they would trickling down like water from a tap.  There was one Leech that was the size of a small dog clinging on to Kirrily's left foot. It was as stubborn as the birthday girl herself. She is in high spirit and STILL and dancing, especially high from completing her first 100 miler (MOONEY2 Creek) and hitting 190.5 at Patoonga Beach.

Clare - Still strong as a bull, she is going well dispite gaining little sleep over the last 2 nights. She is STILL smiling, and Running, including the fire trail leading into Patoonga (on Patoonga Drive) Karl is always on hand to provide more comfort and more warmth.

Bunny - Allison. The everyreadyBunny is of course, VERY ready after being re-charing her batteries at brooklyn. A sleep in the car and a nice big brekkie from Maccas (Bacon Egg muffin and hot cakes) perked her up, much to the crews' delight. She is her usual self, very resilent.

The Local drunks from Brooklyn provided 'hours' of entertainment for us during the short break.

The CREW? We are here struggling to string together two...._______ (zzzzZZZzzzZZ)..

Will check back soon

lastly, for those who want to join us, please PM us via CR (PM buzzlightyear) We have access to CR (Wicked)
Now, we better get going with our half a dozen ice blocks to the girls (and Matt aka TooKeen) FYI, Tookeen has been with the girls since Somersby, much to everyones' delight. Credit to him.

Buzz

If anyone has Buzz's number - could you tell him to check a PM I just sent about the GNW trail being closed along the Fairyland Track off Quebec Ave and River Ave Chatswood West? There was a fire through here a few months ago and the track is still closed. Maybe they already know and are going to go through the closure.

If you can contact Buzz and let him know there is an alternate track on the other side of the Lane Cove River, it may save them an out and back detour.

Neo, Buzz has seen your message, thanks. He says Karl knows about it.
The girls are still going strong. Kirrily has some foot problems, ERB is tired, Duchie is still ready to run. They are at Hornsby. Next contact Galston Gorge.
What can I say but An Incredible Effort, especially from Kirrily, who has never run anywhere near this far before.
Hope I'm still around for her 80th birthday!

Bert, the Spot Tracker has the girls through Berowra Waters en route to Crosslands. It is 8km from there to Galston Gorge. It is all fairly flat from their current position to the Gorge, but it is all single track and would be fairly slow going when tired in the dark.

After the climb out of the Gorge, they will hit some firetrail, including a section of the Quarry Road track. Hornsby is a little way yet. (Unless you know somethng that I don't. :) )

Paul, all I know is what Keith told me. I have noticed that the spot tracker can sometimes take a while to update, but maybe I just missunderstood what keith said. I know their crew can't meet them at Crosslands because the gate at the top of the road is locked at 6:00 pm. On reflection, maybe he meant that the crew were at Hornsby on their way to Galston, as he didn't actually say that they were with the girls at the time, and phone reception can be a bit flakey down in those valleys.

I just received a text from Buzz:

"Girls hoofing it and on track for the 12:49pm ferry. They are running on adreneline now. Will finish by 1:20pm."

I spent some time on the trail with TrailPuddin, ERB and Dutchie (and pacers) in the early hours of this morning. Caught up with them on the Quarrey Road track and they were all in good spirits and moving quite well, considering they had been on the move through the bush for two and a half days.

I just spoke to Kirrily's dad and the warriors have finished, I will let them announce their time etc...but they were ecstatic to have finished in one piece (mostly!).  Kirrily's dad said they were surprisingly coherent still and smiling.

I look forward to their post's once they have showered, slept and feel energised enough to tell an interesting tail from the sounds of things....

well done girls - we are in awe of you all! :im Not Worthy:

PS: I know I have used a few 'I'm not worthy' emoticons over my last few posts but, I just think the girls are amazing!

Well done ladies... awesome effort. Went down to see them at Woolwich and they all looked great given the amount of running and lack of sleep they'd all had. I think a few wines and off to bed is in order. Congrats ladies once again, time is of no matter, simply finishing this monster is an amazing achievement.

Wow....so fortunate to have shared a tiny bit of the 'Adventure' with the girls and TooKeen yesterday. Joined the Adventure at Lane Cove NP with Lotshare and Exe and ran/walked to the finish with them. I was amazed at how well they were moving with such little sleep. You are such strong , amazing women and it was a pleasure to arrive at the finish with you. TP's family put on a very special finish for her. Really emotional stuff! Congrats and a job well done YOU LADIES ROCK!! Karl, Buzz and Koala you are amazing. This whole adventure could not have been achieved without your superb dedication!! Fantastic crew any girls could ever want!!
