How funny is this - it is on my 40th birthday - now if that doesn't scream mid-life crisis then nothing does.

There has been a significant amount of noise about this for ages - but it is now at the stage where if it is not true then a lot of people will have egg all over their faces.

Needless to say - I am putting my hat in the ring for a maiden Ironman.  Now I just have to remember to learn how to swim.

News from Slowtwitch firstly backs up the IM Melb info - swim at Franghanistan, ride Eastlink and run to St Kilda.  Date of 25 March - with a link to a cached IM website.

Secondly, a (now ex-) Trannie posted on ST that they'd had word from Bernie(?) that it's all over...

What do you mean? You get an advertising revenue stream by having many site visitors and placing advertisements. The suffix of the URL has no bearing on that at all.

Very feisty if that is what she said. Considering that the hating is directed the other way where Trannies are encouraged on the forum to go and post/start threads on ST to troll or get under their skin, and its referred to as Slowtwits.
...but when the site is down they use ST to communicate about trannies.

In her words she regards Trannies as " a non profit volunteer run service for the community"...a real disdadvantaged demographic perhaps?

Maybe all the people coming over from Slowtwitch wanting to know about IM Melbourne crashed it.

You have too wait four the knew DNS to propagate two youre ISP when a site changes servers.

It shouldn't take that long, but they do warn that it can take 36 hours. Different people will be able to access the sit at different times.

the really weird thing is that after the initial disappearance it reappeared briefly and appeared to be working fine.  Then has disappeared again for even longer.

What I don't get is why it did work briefly.
