For what it's worth, I did the C2S in 65 last year and rant he Blackmores half in 1.39. I'd done a handful of runs around that 21k mark as part of my training leading up to it though.

And maybe sub 1:40 if you have done a few long training runs 18-20km.
Good luck and enjoy it.

I'm wondering the same thing. The course profile map on the web site http://www.sydneyrun...rse_profile.pdf doesn't seem to match up that well with some of the info people have put up on MapMyRun. There are a few on the later site, all pretty similar eg http://www.mapmyrun....sydney/21502212
I'd tend to run with what is on the official site which says uphill until approx 2km then pretty flat.
Can anyone help out with this?
Not many hills where I live so not sure if I should be concerned about hills on the HM?
Thanks

Thanks sammo72.
I guess if you are in Orange you have plenty of hills logged in your training! Dubbo is a bit flat.

There are some nice long flat sections out along Hickson Rd and back and the hill at the start and up into of the middle of the bridge, you probably won't notice in the excitement of starting the race.
Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks Turtle.
Just noticed your post re: your injury. Hope you recover in time for Sydney.
I had an injury (not from running) about this time last year and missed the HM. Devastated at the time, but fitter and more prepared this year. I only wish I was faster

Was in Sydney last week for work so managed to get in some runs on bits of the HM course. Hills don't look too bad, but I certainly felt them as the bulk of my training has been on the flat. Might cost me a few minutes, but all part of the challenge.
Getting excited now!

Thanks runningscared.
At this stage its all systems go for Sydney, woo-hoo!
It will be the first time I have run in such a large group, about 30 000 people.......
The good thing is I am likely to have more company out the back of the pack!!
Stay fit, and speed is all relative (i keep telling myself!)
