I believe this run is on again this year, although have not been able to obtain an entry form.  Will be ringing to obtain one.  Information for others who want to participate.

9.00am start, Blair Oval, St Mary's - ring John Wilcox 9623 6715 or turn up on the day.

Will be there. Havn't run this since 2007. Needs to be put on Calendar  - recall not that many runners know about it. Had to find it by looking up St Matys spring fair.

The Blair Oval run is on 25th September and the run held at St Marys South Public School will be on 30th October.

Both runs start at 9am and are being held for the last time.

For those local forms will be available at The St Marys Spring Festival being held all day in Queen Street St Marys tomorrow.

I have obtained some forms which I intend to take to the West Met Presentation at Auburn tomorrow if time allows after soccer and will be taking some to CR West next week.

So it is. Sorry about that.  Hope to make it this year. Have missed this over recent years. It's a good event and well organised by a top bloke in John.

Both St Mary's events have now been put on the Coolrunning calendar, so hopefully it may get a good turn out for its last year.

As buses are replacing trains this weekend between Blacktown and Penrith, if anyone doing this run can give me a lift part of the way, it would be appreciated.

The blair oval event I believe is 6.2km. There is another event late October which is approx 8kms.

As always I enjoyed my time at The St Marys Community Swim(oops)I meant fun run. After listening to the rain during the night and still raining during the morning I became confused,I felt like I should have been heading off to Penrith's Lap The lake run.

However despite the rain there was a good turnout for this last event and it was a fun run with many friends.
Great to see Slowmc,Bert,Lotsahare,Beeknees,Emjay,The Keg,SMC runners and others. It was nice to finally meet Kookaburra.

John his wife Denise and team of dedicated volunteers did a superb job once more in organising this event for the last time.It would be great to have a good turnout for the final run that John is organising to be held on 30th October at St Marys South Public School.John has invited runner Andrew Lloyd and other guests to attend.
I look forward to seeing some of you there.

KatieR, you've changed your photo!  Nice to meet you at last, although the only other CR I recognised was the keg.  Lovely day for running - well at least with all this rain, surely it can't rain next Saturday.  Good day as usual and nice that it wasn't hot like it was for the Sydney Running Festival.  Had planned on going for a swim at North Sydney Pool after the run, but despite someone kindly giving me a lift to Blacktown station, by the time the train got through to Strathfield I was so frozen, the last thing I wanted was a swim.

Does anyone have results for male and female placegetters? Intended to make it today but other family committments popped up at the same time.

Earl O'Brien won. They messed up his time and he missed it on his watch. Because we finished on the track I know he was almost exactly 200 m in front of me (2nd). My official time and my watch were the same, 21.00. I don't know the third bloke but he was another 200 m behind me. The times were a lot slower than last year, I assume because of the rain. Even the road was slippery. That's my excuse anyway!

I like that excuse.  My time was slower than last year, in fact all my runs lately have been around 3 minutes slower.  Last week I blamed the heat, this week, too wet!

Yep, a good run and have supported in the past. John and his wife have done a terrific job and a shame it was the last year.  Will try to get to their next one at the end of October.
