Apologies if there already is a thread for this one but I am not seeing one here or in the ultra category.

So who's in for this one.  Been a couple years since i went down for the old 19km run and looking at the new format will have a crack at the 21km....was hoping for the 37km but that one seems to be non-existent this year.

Looking forward to this on as it's a great spot!

Cheers,

Great event, really loved it last year. Sad to miss it this year due to Glasshouse.

I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested. Very relaxed vibe with some nice running and all held in a very beautiful town. A good weekend away.

I can't speak highly enough of this event.  An absolute joy to be back running there last year but months of on and off injury have put paid to any plans to be there in 2011...sadly!

If I survive the week I will be there.

I have fond memories of this run last year because it was my very first (real) ultra. If I make it this weekend it will be my 8th. They are kinda addictive...

Hoping to shave a few minutes off and go sub 5 but I am a bit scared that the past 12 months have slowed me down and I will be way off. I guess I will find out on Sunday.

Well worth the trip out to Walhalla - a beautiful part of the world. And I haven't found a better value race entry than this.

I am planning on being there to bring up the rear of the field. I have been totally exhausted since running the Pikes Peak Marathon in Colorado two weeks ago. But I have never done this race so it is time to find out what it is like.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 21km, despite rain, fallen trees, mud and landslides.

The 21km was a lot of fun!  Had it all complete with heavy rain, super wet muddy trails, plenty of trees to go over under or around and some leaches for good measure.  Walhalla is such a beautiful place to run in, along those old tram ways and through the lush fern gullies.

Timewise I was happy with my 2hrs with a very sore knee :(  Had a good run trailing Nick from Trarlgon Harries who had done a 10km warm up with the 50ker's!  Good work mate!

Field sizes looked a bit down on previous years.  Approx 14 in the 50km.   About 20 something in the 21km. Not sure how many took up the 10km option as this was a new event for this year.

Top job by Bruce and the Trarlgon Harrier volunteers on another successful Walhalla Wound Up.  A big thanks also to the volunteer who drew the short straw to lug the water up the Mormon Track  :im Not Worthy:

Thanks also to the Star Hotelier who kidly allowed runners use of the hotel room showers - great to be able to wash and freshen up after looking like a drowned rate!

See ya in 2012!

If only more races cost $20!!!!

Excellent Event, my first Ultra and I loved it, even the 3hours of heavy rain...
Met some other people that are (as branded by others) as "crazy" as me !!!!
Thanks to the organisers for a really awesome trail run....
