Hey all! I'm 25 years old and iv'e been running for about 6-7 months, wondering if there's anyone in the Quakers Hill/Stanhope/Western Sydney area interested in starting something up? I used to run/walk about 5km before i was completely stuffed, now i can run for longer periods and up to 10km within an hour, participated in my first event Run4Fun yesterday and came in at a personal best :) I usually run up the Quakers Hill Pkwy and down towards Stanhope, and then down Stanhope pkwy back to Quakers Hill, very rarely see fellow runners when im out at 4-6pm weekdays, i also cycle the m7 bike track some days to change it up, keen to find someone to run with and to keep eachother motivated and to share upcoming events as i am pretty new to the scene, thanks! :) - Rob

Monday and Wed Nights 6.30pm AH Whaling Reserve Roxborough Park Baulkham Hills for training runs (usually have around 50 people).

Tuesday 6.00pm Bella Vista Drive Bella Vista Shopping Centre (opposite Chipp Court) 8km road run.

Thursday 6.00pm 20 Lexington Drive 10km on M7.

Saturday 7.00am Castle Hill RSL 8KM (various courses)

Sunday 6.45am AH Whaling Reserve (see above) 11km road run.

There are a few other runs but this is a good start.

Groups to look for Hills Athletics Club, Hills Joggers, Hills Hoofers, M7 runners monthly run from Circa Sunday Mornings, CR West monthly run at Nuragingy, SMC monthly runs at Smithfield, This Friday the CR twilight run starts at Glenwood at 6.45pm (Great way to start weekend).

Hope that gives you a few ideas. There are plenty of runners, just need to know where to look!
